Canon PowerShot SX110 IS Digital Camera Review

by Tim Barribeau

The Canon SX110 IS walks the line between compact and ultra-zoom. It doesn't quite have the same zoom level as most ultra-zooms (only 10x) but has a body size closer to a compact, and offers a high level of manual control. It shoots at nine megapixels, and has a built-in image stabilization. While the SX100 IS lab scores ranged from poor to average for the most part, it was somewhat redeemed by good color scores and an excellent interface system, based around an iPod-reminiscent control wheel. The SX110 IS, which costs $250, proved to be quite a versatile camera, if not the most beautiful or best testing one we've seen.
